Polearms

Syntax
STRIKE <target> [LEFT|RIGHT] [<bodypart>] [<modifier> [<modifier args>]]

WEAPONSTYLE <CUTTING|BLUNT>

As a Cavalier, your skill with polearms is such that you now attack even faster. Additionally, as you train in the Cavalier skill, you will learn to apply modifiers to your strikes, which increase the effectiveness of your attacks even further.

Additionally, strikes with polearms are able to deal either cutting or blunt damage, depending on your weaponstyle.

Additional Notes:
Skills with the syntax "Modifier" are used to fill the <modifier> argument of Strike. For example, STRIKE ROARK DOUBLEVISION

Steed

Syntax
STEED BOND <beast>

STEED UNBOND
Power: 10 (Any)

You may now forge a permanent bond with your beast, taking it on as your noble steed. This strong connection between man and beast increases its level, and grants the inherent abilities of mount, gallop, trot, and armour. If the bond is lost, these abilities will be forgotten in the trauma.

As you learn more in the art of being a Cavalier, so too will you learn to predict the movements of your steed, allowing you the ability to stay mounted even in unusual circumstances.

DoubleVision

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Head

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Recklessness affliction
Weaponstyle: Any

This modifier will addle your target's brain, leaving them reckless.

Effects: Asthma affliction
Weaponstyle: Cutting

This modifier will puncture your opponent's lung, leaving them gasping for breath.

Tender

Syntax
TEND TO STEED

It is important to ensure that your steed is always in the best condition for battle. By taking your time to care for your mount's body, mind, and spirit, you can swell their health, mana, and ego beyond normal limits.

Ulcer

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Gut

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Vomiting affliction
Weaponstyle: Any

This modifier will ulcerate your target's stomach, causing vomiting.

Cleave

Syntax
CLEAVE <target> <body part>

This maneuver will allow you to cleave smoothly through defences such as shields and jab the blade of your great axe into your foe, all in one movement.

BreakArm

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Right arm, left arm

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Damagedleftarm or damagedrightarm affliction
Weaponstyle: Any

This modifier will cause your strikes to damage your target's arms.

Sunder

Syntax

Effects: Prone affliction, balance loss
Weaponstyle: Blunt

This modifier will knock your target to the ground, as well as causing a short balance loss.

Warcry

Syntax
WARCRY

Your warcry is now so powerful and intimidating that many creatures attacking your allies will be forced to consider you their primary target. You will not be able to produce a proper warcry while off-balance or on the floor, and most loyal creatures are simply so devoted to their cause that your warcry will have no effect.

Muster

Syntax
BEAST MUSTER

This ability works with your steed only. It is a faster version of the standard Beastmastery Whistle.

Mutilator

Syntax
COMBATSTYLE MUTILATOR

Choosing a mutilator fighting style will increase the bleeding caused by your attacks at the expense of bruising.

SteedCharge

Syntax
STEED CHARGE <target> <direction> <direction>
Power: 1 (Any)

Charge towards your target and attempt to carry them off in another direction. At the end of the attack, your target will be crumpled on the ground and stunned for a time dependent on how far you have traveled.

Guard

Syntax
GUARD SELF

The best defense is a good offense. By watching the movements of those who would attack you, you can spot when they leave themselves open to assault and quickly get in a strike before they even touch you.

Impale

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Gut

Requirements: Heavy wounds
Effects: Impaled afflicition
Weaponstyle: Cutting

This modifier will drive your weapon through the gut of your opponent, impaling them to the ground.

Joust

Syntax
STEED JOUST <target>

This brutal, yet noble, tradition holds a great history for Cavaliers, being a sport often used for entertainment and honourable duels.

You can only joust with a mounted opponent, and you will have to take some time to gather speed. When you do finally connect with your target, you will deal massive wounds to their midriff and dismount them.

If your opponent is also a Cavalier, they can opt to accept your invitation for a joust. The outcome of this duel will depend upon a number of factors, including yours and your opponent's beast.

Pulverizer

Syntax
COMBATSTYLE PULVERIZER

Choosing a pulverizer fighting style will increase the bruising caused by your attacks at the expense of bleeding.

FarGuard

Syntax
GUARD <target>
Mounted: Yes

From your vantage point atop your noble steed, you can see the battle raging around you. By carefully watching those who would attack your ally, you can slip in a quick jab at the aggressor before they attack your friend. You will be more likely to notice a weak defense in those attacking your allies than if you were to guard yourself.

Rend

Instead of withdrawing your blade from your opponent, you can viciously rend it out of them, causing massive bleeding.

JaggedWound

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Any

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Increased bleeding and bruising
Weaponstyle: Cutting

By carefully controlling your weapon, this modifier allows you to split your strike between bruising and bleeding, both of which increase based on your opponent's wounds.

CrushArm

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Right arm, left arm

Requirements: Critical wounds
Effects: Mutilatedrightarm or mutilatedleftarm affliction
Weaponstyle: Blunt

This modifier will crush an opponent's arm, mutilating it.

Hook

Syntax
PARRY <bodypart> <weight> HOOK

You may prepare to hook attacks against a single bodypart. If you successfully parry, you will knock your aggressor's weapon with the shaft of your polearm and pull them off balance.

CrushLeg

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Right leg, left leg

Requirements: Critical wounds
Effects: Mutilatedrightleg or mutilatedleftleg affliction
Weaponstyle: Blunt

This modifier will crush an opponent's leg, mutilating it.

Obstruction

Syntax
STEED OBSTRUCT <target>

Focus your steed's sights on a single player, harrying him to block that person's escape. If the steed is successful, the person will find themselves kicked to the ground and perhaps trampled, causing deep wounds to their body.

PiercePlexus

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Chest

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Paralysis affliction, stun
Weaponstyle: Cutting

This modifier will pierce your opponent's chest, causing paralysis. Additionally, they will be stunned for a duration dependent on their wounds
