'''Chieftain Nintoba''' witnessed a vision of [[the Taint]] in the days of the [[Project Cosmic Hope]] expedition, and was able to successfully lead a portion of the [[centaur|centaurs]] who lived in the [[Gloriana Forest]] to safety in the [[Serenwilde Forest]]. He returned to the Gloriana just as the Taint had been released upon the [[Basin of Life]], using a mysterious moonstone to hold back the Taint long enough to rescue many of the centaurs who remained.
