Centuries ago, two [[merian]]s attained the plane of [[Celestia]], where they beheld a vision of true peace, of true love, of true radiance. [[Saint Tresalyne|Saint Tresalyne of the Stars]] would soon sacrifice himself, allowing him to dwell on Celestia forever. [[Javile Farain]] became the first ''Holy Father'', founding the Church and seeking to spread that vision through word and deed to those within Celest, and beyond.

'''The Magisterium''' has chosen to follow the example of Holy Father Farain, and focuses on hagiography, syncretism, monument building and other displays harkening back to [[Holy Celestine Empire|Imperial]] culture to further their goals. Though these displays are their primary focus, they do not shy away from more forceful means of conversion where the need arises - all have their place in building the Bright Tide.
