The Elder Godess Amberle, member of the First Circle, was the sister-mate of Meridian. She led over 300 members of the First Circle on a mission of diplomacy to meet with the Heralds of Magnora in the Void, but was attacked.

"Greetings," said Amberle, projecting peaceful intention through her thoughts. "We come in love and friendship. We know you reach towards the First World, called Lusternia, and bid you welcome."

-Book of Aslarn

The mission members approached the Heralds in a formation known as the Finger of Fate, and this successfully held off the first attack. Members of the Second Circle watched the mission from the safety of Xyl's spires back on the Prime Material Plane, through Amberle and Meridian's telepathic link. The concerned warriors ordered Amberle to begin the Daath Sequence, also called the Breaker of the Cosmos, the ultimate offense then known among the Elders. Amberle refused, in the hopes that they could make one last attempt at communicating peacefully with the Heralds.

"Do not fear for me, blessed Meridian," she answered. "You are the soul of my soul, but you know we must at least try. It is the moral thing to do. And if we have no morality, what else do we have? Is it not our righteousness that defines us?"

-Book of Aslarn

This proved impossible, as the Heralds only exist to consume, and consume they did; Amberle and most of the First Circle were destroyed.

The Amberle Ocean, sometimes referred to as the Sea of Amberle, was named in Her memory. The arena in New Celest is also named in Her honour - the Pearl of the Amberle.
