Xyl was a member of the Fifth Circle of the Divine, also known as the Thinkers. He constructed an observatory high atop one of Lusternia's tallest mountains, later known as Avechna's Peak, and carefully observed the cosmos. He was the first to notice the presence of the Soulless as they moved towards the First World in the days leading up to the Elder Wars.
