Icewynd
The Icewynd (or sometimes Icewynds) is an arctic region not easily accessible from the Basin of Life. It is composed of a circular range of mountains, generally divided between its northern and southern spheres. The mountain range encircles the Iceburn Plains, a deadly area inhabited by ice devils and ice diggers. Living in the southern mountains are tribes of trill ruled by enigmatic beings known as the Guardians of the Icewynd or sometimes called the Ice Angels. Inhabiting the northern mountains are reclusive beings known as the Forsaken. It is well known that a perpetual war rages between the Forsaken and the Ice Angels.
Extreme weather warning: This region is prone to blizzards, hailstorms and consistently low temperatures. Wearing layers of clothing with extra padding is highly recommended. (Tailors and smiths can pad clothing and armour, respectively, to increase the warmth an item provides.)

History
Elder Wars era
- It is presumable that this is the location of the Icewynderkyl Forest, which had its fae altered by Manteekan.
Vernal Wars era
- The Jeweled City of Climanti existed here, constructed the Piercing Needle of Transcendent Ice and raised the Vernal Goddess Juliana.
Age of Ascension era
- 299 CE - Ice Skulls and Ice Devils attacked the Basin and kidnapped Jeremiah Gryphta. (Events #227)
- 300 CE - Jeremiah Gryphta found the Hearthstone of Il'vania in Icewynd and brought it to the Basin. (Events #228)
