Rowena Nightshade

Rowena Nightshade was High Priestess of the Night Coven in the Gloriana Preserve in the days of Project Cosmic Hope and was a representative of the Alliance of Forest Conclaves. She opposed the Emperor's plans to reach the Supra Plane, preferring instead to restore the Basin of Life without further tampering with the fabric of creation. In her opposition, she cited prophecies told to her by Mother Night, which earned her the ire of more pragmatic supporters of the project.

When the Taint was unleashed and made its way to the Gloriana, she bravely stood guard over her home and was overtaken by the foul energies. Like the Emperor, she died but returned as one of the undead, and vowed to be Queen of the dark forest that would come to be known as the Glomdoring.

• 115 CE - Rowena used ancient pacts and a potion on Laeroc, Consort of Queen Maeve, to cause him to sire a child within her. This child became the first shadow faeling. (Events #25)
