'''Dionamus the Healer''', once known as the mortal Shaothne, rose to Vernal Ascendancy from [[the White Shell]] in the lost city of [[Alabellalum]], and was the first to make contact with the Cosmic Plane of [[Celestia]]. With His encouragement, the [[Holy Supernals]] actually contributed to the fight against the [[:Category:Soulless Gods|Soulless]] during the [[Vernal Wars]], despite never being directly attacked in Their homes on the higher planes. Perhaps as a result of His connection to Celestia, He often appeared to mortals in an angelic form, and was widely worshipped throughout the [[Basin of Life]] during His life.  

Dionamus was not as well-liked by the other Vernal Gods, though. He and [[Urlach]] were openly hostile to each other and would have torn the Council of Nine apart if it weren't for the mediations of [[Juliana]], one of Dionamus' closest allies, who helped Him trap [[Zenos]] in a prison of ice during the final days of the War.

To imprison [[Kethuru]] and end the Vernal Wars, Dionamus sacrificed Himself, giving birth to [[Avechna]] the Avenger, and became the [[Seal of Life]].
