This specialization of Knighthood concentrates on two-handed axes. The two-handed axe is favored by dwarves and is similar to the specialization of Pureblade. The chopping action of these massive axes is extremely fearsome. The higher the skill, the more deadly and varied the effects.

GreatAxe

Syntax
STRIKE <target> [LEFT|RIGHT] [<bodypart>] [<modifier> [<modifier args>]]

As an Axelord, your skill with two-handed axes is such that you now attack even faster. Additionally, as you train in the Axelord skill, you will learn to apply modifiers to your strikes, which increase the effectiveness of your attacks even further.

Skills with the syntax "Modifier" are used to fill the <modifier> argument of Strike. For example, STRIKE ROARK SLICEFOREHEAD


SliceForehead

Targetable Body Parts: Head

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Blindness affliction

This modifier will blind your target with a stream of blood from their forehead.


SeverPhrenic

Syntax

Targetable Body Parts: Chest

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Sensitivity affliction

This modifier will sever key nerves in the chest, causing sensitivity to pain.


UpsetStomach

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Dust balance loss

This modifier will strike your opponents gut such that they cannot digest purity dust for a short time.


Breakarm

Effects: Damagedleftarm or damagedrightarm affliction

This modifier will cause your strikes to damage your target's arms.


Cleave

Syntax
CLEAVE <target> <body part>

This maneuver will allow you to cleave smoothly through defences such as shields and jab the blade of your great axe into your foe, all in one movement.


Knockdown

Requirements: Light wounds
Effects: Prone affliction, balance loss

This modifier will knock your target to the ground, as well as causing a short balance loss.


Sweep

Requirements: None
Effects: Double wounding, bypass parry Power: 4 (any)

This modifier will cause your strike to bypass parry and deal double the wounds as a normal strike.


SlitThroat

Requirements: Heavy wounds
Effects: Damagedthroat affliction

This modifier will slice open the throat of your target, damaging it.


GashChest

Requirements: Heavy wounds
Effects: Paralysis afflictions

This modifier will leave a painful gash across your target's chest, leaving them unable to move.


Warcry

WARCRY

Your warcry is now so powerful and intimidating that many creatures attacking your allies will be forced to consider you their primary target. You will not be able to produce a proper warcry while off-balance or on the floor, and most loyal creatures are simply so devoted to their cause that your warcry will have no effect.


Berserker

Choosing a berseker fighting style will increase the chance to bypass an opponent's parry, at the expense of wounding.


Chop

Syntax
CHOP <tree>

With your more developed axe skills, you can chop down the great trees of the forests much more easily. You will be faster and do more damage than anyone else.


HeftyAxe

When someone parries one of your attacks, the force behind your massive axe may send massive vibrations through their parrying weapon that will last for a short time. While a weapon its effectiveness drastically reduced. It can also affect parrying shields and will drastically reduce the protection they offer. In both cases, the parrying item will also be less able to parry until the vibrations cease.


LegTendon

This modifier will cause your strikes to mutilate your target's legs.


OpenCavity

Syntax

Requirements: Heavy wounds
Effects: Increased damage, sensitivity affliction

This modifier rip open the abdomen of your target, causing increased damage and a sensitivity to pain.


CriticalCondition

This passive ability will increase the damage of your strikes based on the wounds of the targeted bodypart.


AmputateArm

Requirements: Critical wounds
Effects: Mutilatedrightarm or mutilatedleftarm affliction

This modifier will cleave through an opponent's arm, mutilating it.


Hack

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Any

Requirements: None
Effects: Delayed removal of defenses
Power: 3 (any)

This modifier will, after a short wind-up period, destroy any magical shields or prismatic barriers around your target.


Behead

Syntax
Modifier
Targetable Body Parts: Head

Requirements: Critical wounds, under half health
Effects: Death
Power: 3 (any)

If your target is sufficiently wounded and weakened, you can remove their head in a single powerful chop.


Execute

Requirements: Heavy wounds on head, chest, and gut; at least once must be critically wounded
Effects: Death
Power: 5 (any)

If your target's midline is sufficiently wounded, you can cleave their body in two.
