Tahto

Syntax:
KA TAHTO <target> <bodypart> LEFT|RIGHT (For players)

KA TAHTO <target> RIGHT|LEFT (For bashing NPCs.)

Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 75
Bodypart: Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

The basic attack with a tahto weapon will do blunt damage. Note that while a tahto is wielded, the trained monk can still perform punches and other moves.

Tahtai

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS TAHTAI
Power: 3 (Any)

Kata: Modifier
Ka Weight: 0

When using your tahto to attack opponents, your weapon will shear away the defences of your enemies that serve to keep your weapons out. It will also boost your damage and wounds.

Boost

Power: 5 or 10 (Pool of Stars)

You can now expend power for a temporary increase in momentum. Suppose you have a Kata form called SMASH and another called DESTROY. Normally you could string these together using this syntax:
KATA PERFORM ROARK SMASH DESTROY

If you do not have enough momentum to support the ka cost of DESTROY then you boost your momentum by a level for 5 power. You use + to do this. For example:
KATA PERFORM ROARK SMASH +DESTROY

You can boost multiple forms. For example, if you lack the momentum for both SMASH and DESTROY then you could boost both for a sum cost of 10 power with this syntax:
KATA PERFORM ROARK +SMASH +DESTROY

Finally, you can also boost your forms by two momentum levels using ++. For example, if you need two more levels of momentum to afford the SMASH form then you could spend 10 power to do the following:
KATA PERFORM ROARK ++SMASH DESTROY

Lastly, there is a level 6 of momentum that opens 1500 ka points. You cannot attain this level through normal means. Only through boosting can you get to level 6 momentum.

NOTE: This skill does not actually increase your momentum. It just gives a temporary boost. So if an attack causes you to lose momentum, boosting will not help you avoid the momentum loss.

Smash

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS SMASH
Kata: Modifier

Ka Weight: 50

When used in conjunction with a tahto staff attack, your damage will be increased at the expense of wounding.

Gripping

Syntax:
GRIP

RELAX GRIP

While using this ability, you will prevent items from being knocked out of your grip. Relax when you want to unwield.

Rakto

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS RAKTO
Kata: Modifier

Ka Weight: 75
Bodypart: Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

Carefully choosing the optimum place to strike with your tahto staff, you may cause various afflictions, including a broken jaw (head), knocked wind (chest, balance loss), paralysis (gut), or broken limbs.

Rakti'ini

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS RAKTI'INI
Kata: Modifier

Ka Weight: 125
Bodypart: Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

With a well-placed blow from your staff, you may cause various afflictions, including a brief loss of mental equilibrium (head), shortness of breath (chest), stun (gut), limb balance loss (arms), or a cracked kneecap (legs) to prevent stancing.

Bomrakini

Syntax:
KATA BOMRAKINI <target> <bodypart> RIGHT|LEFT
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 175
Bodypart: Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

Carefully choosing the optimum place to strike with your tahto staff, you may damage extremities, either fracturing arms or crushing feet.

Bomrakobo

Syntax:
KA BOMRAKOBO
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 250

End a kata lock grapple by leveraging your tahto staff to dislocate a limb. This causes a constant, ongoing increase to that limb's wound damage level. This move will cause you to lose some momentum.

Polevault

Syntax:
KA POLEVAULT <target> <form name> [<form name>] [<form name>, etc.]

KA POLEVALT <direction>

Kata: Action

By polevaulting to a target, you can vault over any obstacle and immediately segue into any sequence of two or more Kata forms.

You can also simply polevault alone to a different room.

Bairak

Syntax:
KA BAIRAK <target> <bodypart>
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 200
Bodypart: Head

An advanced grapple that chokes your target with your tahto staff, causing periodic blackouts.

Starkick

Syntax:
KA STARKICK <target> <bodypart> RIGHT|LEFT
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 125
Bodypart: Head

Kicking high towards the stars in the sky, landing on the head powerfully can send enemies sprawling to the ground and even cause brain damage.

Tidesweep

Syntax:
KA TIDESWEEP
Power: 3 (Pool of Stars)

Like a swift tide of water, you will sweep your staff low to try and knock down all your enemies in the room. This move will cause you to lose some momentum.

Bomolini

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS BOMOLINI
Kata: Modifier

Ka Weight: 200
Bodypart: Rleg, Lleg

By striking at the legs, you will knock your opponents off balance and have a chance of knocking them to the ground. This move will cause you to lose some momentum.

Pound

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS POUND
Kata: Modifier

Ka Weight: 50

When used in conjunction with a tahto staff attack, your wounding will be increased at the expense of damage.

Bairakobo

Syntax:
KA BAIRAKOBO <target>
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 200
Bodypart: Head

You can crush your opponent's windpipe by striking precisely at the neck. You must have the target's head grappled with a tahto staff to do this.

Tahto'sho

Syntax:
KA TAHTO'SHO <target> <bodypart>

KA TAHTO'SHO GROUND

Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 350
Power: 1 (Pool of Stars)
Bodypart: Head, Gut, Chest, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

This attack will increase your momentum level. Note that if you target the ground then it will not be able to get you past initial momentum. You can not target the ground in a Kata form.

Rakti'sho

Syntax:
KA RAKTI'SHO <target> <bodypart> LEFT|RIGHT
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 225
Bodypart: Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

This action does various mild injuries to the body, including scambling the brains, breaking the chest and possibly knocking down at the same time, a brief stun (gut), slapping the knuckles (causing weapons to be unwielded), or tripping the target. This move will cause you to lose some momentum.

Bomol'sho

Syntax:
KA BOMOL'SHO <target> <bodypart>
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 200
Bodypart: Rleg, Lleg

The force of your staff travels through the legs up into the very base of the spine, causing loss of control of the lower half of the body.

Block

Syntax:
KA BLOCK

Spinning your tahto staff in a defensive arc, you will ward off weapon attacks, but you will be unable to perform any other action.

Twist

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS TWIST
Kata: Modifier

Ka Weight: 75
Bodypart: Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

By twisting your tahto staff when you strike, you will cause some bleeding.

Bomir'rak

Syntax:
KA BOMIR'RAK <target> <bodypart> RIGHT|LEFT
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 125
Bodypart: Rarm, Larm

A powerful strike to the base of the arms can send shocks into the nervous system, causing loss of control to that side of the body.

Raktiah'sho

Syntax:
KA RAKTIAH'SHO <target> <bodypart> LEFT|RIGHT
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 400
Bodypart: Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg

This action does various mild and also potentially major injuries to the body, including a blackout, collapsed lungs, severed spine (gut), or damaged limbs. In the case of hitting limbs, you will mangle them if they are already broken. If you are unable to mangle, this move will always break the bone and either trip the target or sometimes force the hands to unwield. This move will cause you to lose some momentum, and more will be lost if your target's spine is severed.

Bomolah'sho

Syntax:
KA BOMOLAH'SHO <target> <bodypart> RIGHT|LEFT
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 225
Bodypart: Rleg, Lleg

Striking at the legs can shatter the ankles, making movement and standing be intensely painful. This move will cause you to lose some momentum.

Gahtiah'sho

Syntax:
KATA DEVELOP <form> MODIFIERS GAHTIAH'SHO
Kata: Modifier

Ka Weight: 400
Bodypart: Chest

When the most vital organ, the heart, is struck hard enough, its rhythms will falter, causing heavy chest pain and deterioration.

Gahtirak'sho

Syntax:
KA GAHTIRAK'SHO <target> <bodypart>
Kata: Action

Ka Weight: 1500
Bodypart: Chest

If your opponent is sprawled and has a faltering heart, this deadly strike to the chest can cause their heart to explode instantly. It requires the concentration of a kata form to execute; it cannot be executed by itself. This move will cause you to lose some momentum. If it is successful, you will lose more momentum.
