Ethereal and mysterious, the Elder Goddess Lisaera came to Lusternia a century after Estarra's coming, quickly aligning Herself with the Serenwilde Commune. Often linked to the Ethereal Realm, Lisaera has millennia-long ties to the Fae, and is kin to Auseklis, the First Wanderer and Master of the Wild. Together, They guided the mortals whose interests lie in the forests and nature, until the Wanderer returned to His wanderings, and one day, Lisaera followed in search of His footsteps.

Her return to the First World came at the desperate beckoning of Serenwilde, when Her greatest awakened Nature Spirit, Mother Moon, fell sick. Having healed Moon with Her own essence, she quickly aligned with the Serenwilde once more to guide its steps with Charune, the Horned One and Lord of the Hunt.

Bearing a deep-seated wariness of all cities, She does not trust that which is built upon nature, preferring that Her followers live in harmony with it. Bearing particular fondness for Elfen and Faelings due to their origins in Her splintered sister Elfenehoala, Lisaera is known to be contemptuous of those races twisted by the Taint, the Orcs and Viscanti. For the Illithoid She bears the deepest hatred of all, for they are splinters of the Soulless Illith who consumed or destroyed countless Elders.

Mysterious and changeable, Lisaera exhibits a threefold nature that is reflected in Her varying Manifestations, much like Her awakened Moon Spirit. Walking also in the garb of all Seasons, She is of the mind that there is a time for everything in the natural course of awareness: life and death, light and darkness, joy and sorrow, aggression and peace, and that the wise would endure and learn to rise from all circumstances.

Tending towards the spiritual and magical facets of nature, She is also fond of rituals and often harnesses the powers of the elements for Her own uses.

Her symbol is a silver chalice wreathed in ethereal vines.

History and Facts

Lady Lisaera (by Folken)

Sister to Auseklis, Lisaera was an important figure during the times before the Elder diaspora. As mate to Fain, it would be Lisaera who discovered that Fain was the leader of the Twelve Traitors -- and she would be the one who is responsible for them being cast into the Void. After her sister, Elfenehoala splintered into the elfen race, Lisaera too, enter the Void, fleeing from the nightmares of the Soulless Gods.

When the modern age began, Lisaera would be the first of the Elder Gods who returned from the Void, thanks to the Transcendental Beacon within Avechna's Peak. The Silver Goddess quickly situated herself within the Serenwilde Forest, and has stayed there ever since.

Lisaera's presence was most felt during the Rebirth of Glomdoring. It was Lisaera who suggested to a collective of Seren to speak with Viravain about Gloriana, and it was Lisaera who called to Estarra when Viravain broke the Seal of Nature. However, many other instances in history have been shaped by the machinations of Lisaera -- for example, it was She that lead a torrential flood ravage the city of New Celest, inciting the similar ire of the goddess, Terentia.

However, one day, everything changed and Lisaera disappeared back into the Void. She said that she would return, and that she did. Lisaera returned when a silver sapling grew within her Fulcrux. Gromagh, the Hag of the Hifarae Hills was revealing herself and when Lisaera first returned, the Hag swarmed to attack the goddess. Fain, also, aided the attack, and both Charune and Terentia jumped to defend the Void-weakened goddess. Lisaera survived, and recovered in the hands of her eventual new mate, Charune, the Lord of the Hunt.

Once more, Lisaera took charge to support the Serenwilde. With her silvery gaze, she persists in influencing and guiding many forestals who feel attached to the moon.
