A once-respected Elder Goddess of the Third Circle, Malmydia served as a member of the Hamadhi who first served under the tutelage of Lantra and Carsini, though the differences in philosophy would distance Her from the former and draw Her closer to the latter. A pioneer of dangerous, innovative, and miraculous work, Malmydia would earn her title of "the Chiurgeon" through tireless dedication and peerless innovation.
Propelled to even greater heights by Fain's Elixir, Malmydia would soon experiment in even more unethical ways. Her skill with a doctor's needle and in manipulating the essence of Her fellow Divine would soon see Her feared in spite of the necessary service She provided to the Hamadhi. Details of Her experimentation and secret projects revealed before the Triumvirate saw Her known by even more monstrous appellations: the Shaper of Maladies, Mother of Plagues, Vivisector, and Lady of Needles among others far more distasteful.
Returned now to the First World, She is known to favour the illithoid, mugwump, and viscanti races.
In-game Description
Appearing as a woman who barely exceeds six feet of height, She is a radiant immortal whose unassuming appearance is belied by the aura of power and menace that hangs about Her which causes every motion to appear cruel. Kept half-lidded, Her large, pale green eyes are the colour of a pond at daybreak and are framed by a thick brush of beautiful lashes. High cheekbones lend Her face an angular slant and Her thin lips are often pressed together in a tight line beneath Her narrow nose. Though the air about Her is refreshingly clean, the sterile scent is almost nauseating as it overpowers something else which hangs about Her in an almost imperceptible translucent haze
History
Elder Wars
- She inadvertently gave Krokano his ability to see through magical illusions when she treated him for the blindness caused by Crazen's attacks.
- After Thax was nearly destroyed by Zenos, Malmydia restored Thax by moving his essence into a suit of specially-made zingavium armor.
- Stood before the sixth Triumvirate for using Fain's Elixir and was exiled to the Void as one of the Twelve Traitors.
Modern Times
- Returned to Lusternia on the 3rd of Avechary, year 615 CE.
