Once, long before the Circles were formed, there existed the Cosmic Plane of Iklara, a vast, purple-duned creche where the Elders Zvoltz, the Architect and Mysrai, the Mysterium were birthed along with Their secreted Sister, Ashtariel, of a Thousand Hues. Little is known about Their beginnings, though through war the Sister was lost, Her sad fate buried beneath the many events that unfolded after the wars until the present day. It is said that Her loss is what drove Mysrai to madness and plots of revenge while Zvoltz, the more diplomatic sibling, turned His attention towards peace and the construction of the Elder Circles we know today. Possessed of a childlike demeanor, much about the First World amused the returned Goddess, and She applied Herself to experiencing everything with sybaritic eagerness. Alas, She would not have enough time in the First World to experience all things. | Mercurial and strange as Her sibling Mysrai, though with far less guile, Ashtariel would find a place among the Artists, Her passion for painting Zvoltz' many spires and Mysrai's early constructs a trait that endeared Her to both. Much of the Thousand Hued remains eternally shrouded in mystery, though She appeared to favour bright, jewel-toned palettes and the spiritual symbolism behind a broken mirror. | Much of the Thousand Hued remains eternally shrouded in mystery, though She appeared to favour bright, jewel-toned palettes and the spiritual symbolism behind a broken mirror. |
