A seemingly unrelated event in New Celest would soon occur in which Kaileigh, a member of the Aquamancers, began to act erratically. To protect herself and others, the Paladins locked her away under their vigilant guard and soon observed that she could not remember anything about her behavior once it abated. More Aquamancers fell victim to the strange possessions, throwing the city into a state of panic.
