The Staff of Ascension is an artifact of sublime power that could be used to recharge the Nine Seals and keep the Almighty Kethuru imprisoned amidst the Astral Plane. When used, the divine energy is too much for a mere mortal to withstand and they are generally consumed, used as a sacrifice to keep the Soulless locked away for another generation.

Several mortals throughout history have wielded the Staff of Ascension and became True Ascendants:
