The Threshold Abyss separates the Immanidivinus - the source of the Elder Gods' power - from the realms of the Nine Domoth, where the Nine Seals draw their strength. It was created when Ayridion sacrificed his divine essence to prevent the Dread Lord of Contagion from reaching the Immanidivinus. (Events #101)
