Taimi Kivinen - first kaelye "caught" and communicated with; came to the Basin with others of her race in a large blue ship shaped like an egg, known as Kauko.
The kaelye were familiar with species of creatures that had come to the Basin in recent years: the muku, linorii, and the garosaur.
