D'varsha, the first of the Vernal Gods, was once the mortal merian known as Gorob. He created the first of the Edifices of Power in the underwater city of Glomborolum, which allowed mortals to fan the spark of their own divinity and rise to Godhood themselves, becoming powerful enough to challenge the Soulless. He used the Spire of Glomborolum to become a Vernal God and battled with Illith, the Leviathan, but was ultimately unable to save His city from being exterminated.

To imprison Kethuru and end the Vernal Wars, D'varsha sacrificed Himself, giving birth to Avechna the Avenger, and became the Seal of Knowledge.
