Inferno beetles were first utilized by kepherans waging war upon the Glomdoring Forest in the year 175 CE, when Queen Mumhatuti ordered it to be burned to the ground. The inferno beetle is easily as large as a longhorn steer, with a hardened carapace that is a deep red tapering to yellow towards its tail end. There is a wavy violet stripe down the back of its carapace. The mandibles of the beetle are wickedly curved and leak smoke from small holes near its base. Occasionally, small jets of liquid flame shoot out and drip onto the ground. The beetle reeks of brimstone and gives off an uncomfortable heat. It weighs approximately 312 pounds.
