Fae are the lesser spirits of nature awakened by the Sixth Circle. They are native to the Ethereal Plane though some choose to dwell elsewhere.

History

  • During the Elder Wars, the Sixth Circle and Seventh Circle worked together to help the fae manifest a collective Great Spirit which would become the Maeve and eventually style herself Queen.
  • Manteekan used Fain's Elixir in his awakenings and altered the fae of Icewynderkyl Forest. For these acts, he was counted among the Twelve Traitors and exiled to the Void.
    • Known types awoken or altered by Manteekan: banshee, grimalkin, redcaps, bogies, barghest, agropelters, hodekin, gumberoos, spriggans, whimpuses, tripoderos, snow wassets, slaugh and squonks.
  • Hyfae, notably, are not associated with Queen Maeve.
  • With Manteekan's return to the Basin in 441 CE, Bralki the redcap began to sell a new fae, the squonkabonk.
