Archmage Gognigin n'Kylbar was one of four Archmages who oversaw the operations of the Towers of the Magi on the Arysian Isles. When the Taint was released, the Tower of Earth reacted to the calamity that occured upon the Elemental Plane of Earth, and Gognigin was transformed into an undead abomination in service to Grand Vizier Rushdam d'Murani.
