The kaelye were familiar with species of creatures that had come to the Basin in recent years: the [[muku]], [[linorii]], and the [[garosaur]]. It is believed that they are shards of a divine known as [[Kaenalye]]. Lore related to the kaelye was discovered in the temple of [[Maylea]].

Kaelye homeland: Lyraa Ey Rielys. There, the kaelye were unfamilar with the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the sea, and the Taint.

Taimi Kivinen - first kaelye "caught" and communicated with; came to the Basin with others of her race in a large blue ship shaped like an egg, known as Kauko.
