The Prime Material Plane is the largest region of Lusternia.

Known Continents

Basin of Life

The Basin of Life refers to the enormous continent on the Prime Material Plane, surrounded by a circle of mountains - the Northern and Southern Mountains, Avechna's Teeth, and the Razines. In the center of the basin are two inland seas - the Inner Sea and the Sea of Despair - and crossing the lands in many directions are the Basin's highways, which connect cities and communes to each other and outlying villages.

Mount Dio

During the Vernal Wars, Dionamus erected a spire on top a mountain to bless and heal all races, protecting them from the influence of the Soulless. In honour of His deeds the mountain later became known as Mount Dio. Near the end of the war, Dionamus entrusted a group of loyal loboshigaru and mugwumps to care for and maintain the spire. For many generations those settlers fulfilled their task without fail, yet as the mountain was rediscovered in recent years, the spire has fallen into disrepair, together with the settlement of the loboshigaru and mugwump. It is unknown how to reach this remote mountain, though rumours abound that experiments at the Arthar'rt Observatory had opened a way before its destruction in 445 CE.

The Undervault

A giant network of large caverns and winding tunnels directly below the Basin. Original home of the kephera and illithoid races.

Icewynds

A harsh arctic region. The Northern and Southern Icewynd Mountains encircle the Iceburn Plains.

Lirangsha

A refuge dating back to the Vernal Wars, it became a flashpoint during the War of the Wheel.

wasteland beyond

The wastes outside the Basin are inaccessible and inhospitable. There are some, such as the Horizon Walkers, who venture out undaunted.

Intercontinental Travel

Travel between continents can be quite difficult and is often done through the use of adventurer-maintained gates to the adjacent Ethereal Plane, curios or artifacts.
