Japhiel, Illuminator of Merciful Justice, is one of the Holy Supernals of Celestia. Elohora's greatest counselor, his wisdom and knowledge is deep and true, so Celestines have learned to seek him out in times of need and guidance. He warns all those of Celest to be on guard against lies and corruption, knowing that there are forces at work that seek to hide or twist truths.

He has long, silky white hair and a beard that gleams like a snowy glow. He appears as an elderly man, with lambent blue eyes that are clear and sharp, holding the wisdom of the ages. He wears a plain white robe that hangs over his thin frame like a spill of milk. Around his waist is a golden belt tied in a complex knot. His soft, wrinkled hands holds a thick, heavy tome bound by a golden cover. Surrounding Japhiel is a topaz luminescence, a soft glow that emanates from his very being. All who come under his knowing gaze feel as though their lives are being judged and weighed, though with honesty, mercy and fairness. He exudes an aura of overwhelming power and weighs about 177 pounds.
