==History and Facts==
Before the Elder Wars, Fain was a Leader who presided over the Circle of Thinkers. His mate was Lisaera, of the Seventh. As the Histories of the Elder Wars slowly are released, Fain is revealed to be the mastermind behind the Twelve Traitors, a coterie of Elders who empower themselves with the excoroperdito energies of the Soulless. When discovered, Lisaera told Meridian and Fain was hurled into the Void. Fain's hate of Lisaera persists to this day.
Fain has been present since the beginning of the Modern Age, acting as a patron deity for the tainted city of Magnagora alongside, Raezeon, the Forbidden.
Fain has been seen since the beginning of the Modern Age, firmly seating himself in the tainted city of Magnagora alongside his fellow Traitor, Raezon. Stylised as "of the Red Masque", Fain reigned with an iron fist and drew many powerful adventurers to his fold.However, when Terentia, the Even-Blade left for the Void in search of an artefact of great power (the Eye of Dynara), Fain followed in pursuit.
It would be known that Fain and Terentia met each other within the Void, and both trapped in a demi-plane manifested by the will of Morgfyre, the Legion. Fain managed to wrest free from the powerful enchantments of the plane, fleeing further into the Void. Terentia would be later saved by Hajamin, who would be ultimately consumed by Morgfyre. Meanwhile, Lacostian and Raezon built magical beacons and instruments, summoning forth both Fain and Terentia back to Lusternia. Fain was taken to Nil to recover and then began to retake the Eye of Dynara, which Terentia brought with her, only to lose it to Charune, the Horned God.
Fain returned to his former status of leading divine; however, when Morgfyre returned to the Basin of Life, followers flocked to the new divine. The Red Masque stayed prominent, yet, often vied with his fellow Traitor for power.
When the Undervault was discovered, Fain's presence within the realm almost immediately disappeared. It was revealed that Fain inadvertedly became caged within the Illithoid Prison. Psychically, he sought to his order and former order-members, who then worshipped Morgfyre, and at behest of the Legion, was freed from the Psionic Web by a collective assault of Magnagorans. Fain remained in the shadows for the most part, plotting and planning as his former protege, Morgfyre, had now taken control of much of Magnagora.
Morgfyre disappeared for a time and Fain was able to retrieve much of his former control over the city. However, now that Morgfyre has returned, it remains to be seen how much conflict will be raised.
