What is now known as the Tar Pit Wastes was once the Eastern Serenwilde. The forest expanded much further than its current boundaries; however, when an ancient, insidious creature called the Slaghora'ruin, or the Slayer of Forests in the fae language, slithered in from beyond the Basin of Life, the forest quickly decayed under the beast's poisonous touch. In defense of the Serenwilde, several druid families went to fight the beast, but they were unable to do so - and in the end, Chuchip, the Great Spirit of Serenwilde, had to sever the land with his magic. When the Slaghora'ruin grew strong enough to pierce through Chuchip's veil, the Wastes were revealed, and it was found that the descendants of the druid families still waged a most difficult war.

  • a monstrous man-eater plant
  • a frenzied badger
  • an enchanting dryad

Slemgooum Fyrgenwig

Though her dark skin is stretched tight against a cadaverous skull, Slegooum Fyrgenwig's large eyes are bright and full of mischief. The ancient mugwump is swathed in a deep black robe and bent nearly in half, making it impossible to ascertain just how large she actually is. In one shriveled hand, Slegooum tightly grips a gnarled branch upon which she leans heavily. Foul smelling fumes waft out of pouches hanging from her belt, and an old brass torc set with a clouded emerald hangs from her neck.

Tinjtak Gladheart

Looking like a tae'dae in miniature, Tinjtak Gladheart is coated in golden-brown and clad in a simple tunic and trousers. An affable grin is plastered across the furrikin's snout and bright brown eyes gaze warmly at the surroundings. A cudgel is clasped lightly in one chubby paw and currently finds service as a walking stick, while the other hangs onto a pouch slung over Tinjtak's back.

Cyarun Thornleaf

  • An elfen druid who urges others to put animal corpses inside tar pits in service of his master.

Mebor Greenhunt

Kneeling with the posture of a statue, Mebor Greenhunt's true height is difficult to determine. Clad in a neatly trimmed doeskin tunic and oiled leather breeches, his coppery skin seems to blend into the clothing, appearing as if he were wearing a full piece suit. Tousled locks of auburn hair fall down to frame a slender face, cut through by a pair of pointed ears. His facial features are far too striking to be considered handsome, and his slate grey eyes gaze out with a soulful yearning. He clutches a golden sickle and a simple red leather sling in one hand and presses the other firmly in the soft soil. Mebor seeks to offer a proper burial to the corrupted animals of the area.
