Blood Loss is caused by various attacks in Lusternia from both denizens and adventurers. In addition to basic bleeding, there are several other mechanics that interact in specific ways, thus meriting this article to explain it.

Bleeding

When you are hit by a cutting weapon in Lusternia, you will usually begin to bleed. After you begin bleeding, you'll continue to bleed health points every so often. Your body will gradually clot the blood, but this will take time.

Bruising

Blunt weapons will often cause bruising. When bruised, you will take damage every time you move or make an offensive action. Bruising will heal slowly over time, healing a bit each time you take damage from it.

Clotting

There are other methods available to quicken the clotting of blood or the healing of bruises. There are certain guild-related abilities, as well as an ability in discipline that lets you do it. The chervil herb also helps to clot blood. The Kingdom enchantment will also do some clotting automatically.

Hemorrhaging

Hemorrhaging is a condition that will prevent you from clotting either bleeding or bruising below the amount of hemorrhaging you currently have. Hemorrhaging cures over time, curing twice as fast if you haven't been afflicted with more hemorrhaging in some time.

*Note - You can clot bruising to half your hemorrhaging level, but no lower.
