Per Changelog 3066: Planar transmissions (channels, tells, etc) will now be garbled based on distance. The further the distance, the more garbled the transmission will be. This garbling effect does not apply to newbie channels such as CGT or NEWBIE, or to administrative/OOC channels such as Envoys or Builders.
