They, like their mortal enemies the [[Kephera]], have a racial home within the Undervault, though these two lifestyles vary drastically. Without hives and spoiled Queens, the Illithoid of the Undervault are kept within the Illithoid Prison, sealed away behind the Seal of Keph beneath the waves of the Undersea, where they plot to escape and how to rid themselves of their enemies for good.

When Illithoid first came to the surface of the Basin, they brought with them the teachings of [[Nekotai]] and [[Ninjakari]], which they taught to the [[Glomdoring]] Commune and the City of [[Magnagora]] respectively. They also brought with them the use of [[stealth]].
