Shofangi is the specialization of kata that is taught by the guild of the same name in the Serenwilde. Monks taught at the Shofangi School will develop skills with use of the shofa, sometimes called the staghorn knives or moonblades.

Shofa

Can Target Denizens

The basic attack with a shofa weapon will do bleeding as well as cutting damage. Note that while a shofa is wielded, the trained monk can still perform punches and other moves. Shofa attacks will do a higher base damage than other attacks.


Skive

Syntax

KATA PERFORM <target> =<form>

Kata: Modifier

Power: 3 (Moonhart Tree)

When using your shofa to attack opponents, your weapon will shear away the defences of your enemies that serve to keep your weapons out. Only works on actions using shofa blades. It will also act as if you boosted this form.
As an alternative, you can also add this to any form by prepending "=" to the name of the form. For example, if you have a form SMITE that you wish to use againt Roark then you would do KATA PERFORM ROARK SMITE. If you do KATA PERFORM ROARK =SMITE then it will automatically use this modifier with the SMITE form.


Boost

Syntax
KATA PERFORM <target> <form> BOOST

KATA PERFORM <target> <form>+

Power: 2 (Moonhart Tree)

Boosting a form will give you a temporary 13/13 balance buff for that form only. You can add boost either by using the BOOST argument at the end of the form or appending '+' to the end for the form name.


Logami

Syntax
KA LOGAMI <target> <bodypart>
Kata: Grapple

Bodypart: Head, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg
Stance: Base

You can lock down an opponent with the Logami grapple. Locking the arms will slow their balance while locking the head will damage the skull and blind them.

Head: DamagedSkull and Blindness.
Chest: 75 bleeding.
Gut: Internalbleeding and Sickening.
Limbs: -5/-8 balance malus while grappled.


Gripping

Syntax
GRIP

RELAX GRIP

While using this ability, you will prevent items from being knocked out of your grip. Relax when you want to unwield.


Shotah

Syntax
KATA PERFORM <target> <form> SHOTAH
Power: 2 (Moonhart Tree)

Using this form, you will regress a stance instead of advancing. You cannot regress from your base stance to your killer stance.


Shofangtree

This skill was not taught to the commune by the original kephera. It was learned and developed over time. Using your blades, you can now easily scale to the top of the trees and keep yourself up there. You also will be harder to move while in forested environments. Lastly, being in the trees above a target will greatly reduce the bleeding needed to finish off an opponent with crunch.


Stomp

Syntax
KA STOMP <target> <bodypart> LEFT|RIGHT

Bodypart: Head, Chest, Gut, Rarm, Larm, Rleg, Lleg
Stance: Surge

Like an angry bull, you can stomp on the feet of others, crushing their foot. This move is unable to be used first or second in your kata form, so you'll have to use it third.
If the target is not prone and can parry, this will prone them. If they are already prone or cannot parry, it will do the following:

Head: 2s equilibrium loss
Chest: Rigormortis
Gut: Dysentery
Arms: Delay ice cure by two wound levels
Legs: 2s balance loss


Bogami

Syntax
KA BOGAMI <target>
Kata: Grapple Ender

Bodypart: Head, Gut, LArm, RArm, Lleg, Rleg
Stance: Twist

A subtle maneuver with your shofa allows you to lean in and lock up your opponent, stopping them from moving. This move requires you to use both blades at the same time.
Head: Blind
Gut: Doubles bleeding.
Arms: 1s arm balance loss
Legs: If prone, 1s stun, otherwise it prones.


BullSnort

Syntax
KA BULLSNORT <target>

By summoning the spirit of the bull inside yourself and snorting haughtily, you will bewilder your opponent and throw him off equilibrium.


HeadButt

Syntax
KA HEADBUTT <target>
Power: 3 (Mother Moonhart)

By focusing your energy on Bull, you can slam your head into your opponent, causing them to see stars and blackout. Your head must be on balance for this.
Effect: 5s blackout



Rake

This is the advanced version of the Base stance.

Bonus Effect: deals 30 bleed to target.

Changing stances now deals hemorrhaging. Hemorrhaging is an affliction that prevents you from clotting bleed below that level, or bruising below half that level. It cures over time.

Certain afflictions will give you bonus hemorrhaging if your target has them when you start your form. Boosting will also double your hemorrhaging.

You can now use the BURST word to convert all your targets hemorrhaging to bleeding. This cannot be done on full actions.


Syntax

You can build up to 850 hemorrhaging on a target
If you burst a target with greater than 750 hemorrhaging, it will put them into a weakened state temporarily. During that time, using Crunch will instantly kill them.
