Prehistory: Cosmogenesis
In this time, Yudhe created Dynara and Magnora. Dynara created divine creches in the outer planes, such as Nil, Celestia, the Vortex, the Continuum, etc., and filled them with Her creations. These creations are known as the half-formed, and were surrounded by smaller beings known as living templates. When the half-formed grew, they become Elder Gods.
Some of Dynara's earliest failures were cast off to Magnora, becoming Her Handmaidens. These Soulless Gods predated the Elders and were driven by the singular desire to destroy.
Yudhe also created a son, who would remain Nameless. Magnora grew jealous of Her Brother and tried to consume Him, but He merely disappeared through a tear in the fabric of reality. Magnora and Dynara would later disappear through this same tear in reality, on a quest to retrieve Their Brother and reunite Him with Yudhe.
The time immediately following Their disappearance is known as the Great Silence.
Godsreign: The Elder Wars
A complete summary of the Elder Wars Following the Great Silence, the Elder Gods are drawn to the First World. They organized Themselves into Circles based upon their innate abilities and predilections, and are led by the First Circle, known as the Leaders and Mediators. The Gods began to populate Lusternia with life, a process spearheaded by the Circles of Awakeners and Creators.
Their reign over Lusternia is thrown into chaos when the Heralds of Magnora, later known as the Soulless Gods, began to move through the Void on a journey to consume the First World. A diplomatic envoy of Gods met the Soulless in the Void but were attacked, leaving the surviving Gods to prepare for war.
Victory over the Soulless appeared to be impossible, until several members of the Fifth Circle, the Thinkers, develop a way to use the essence of the Soulless to return from death. The elixir is used to save Orlachmar's life, but ultimately resulted in Him becoming undead, driven by the same internal hunger for divine essence that plagues the Soulless. The Gods convened and banned the use of the elixir, but Fain and eleven other Gods secretly use the elixir on Themselves, turning the tide of war in the Gods' favor.
The Twelve Traitors are eventually discovered and exiled to the Void, and without a clear way to defeat the Soulless, the remaining Gods decided to escape into the Void on a search to recover Dynara and Magnora from wherever They disappeared to. A last-minute attack by the Soulless resulted in a handful of Gods being trapped in Lusternia, and over the course of thousands of years, those Gods splintered into the mortal races of Lusternia.
Mortals began to populate the First World, but were still ravaged frequently by the Soulless. Meridian is the last surviving Elder to splinter, and with that, the Elder Wars come to an end, with the Soulless still remaining a constant threat.
